Banning Statement − 8th July, 2025
On 15th June the English Pool Association, along with the IEPF & EEPF, received correspondence from Ultimate Pool requesting a sanction be placed on IRPT events after learning there was a plan to introduce a professional section.
With regards to a sanction on amateur players, the EPA held a meeting to discuss. Whilst at the time of the meeting the request for sanctions had been withdrawn, the National Committee felt that a banning policy being implemented after the country decided in 2019 to remove the previous banning policy would not be in anyone's best interest.
The English Pool Association recognise Ultimate Pool as the professional body for International Rules in England as voted for by the members in 2022. In doing so providing a platform for players to develop from grassroots pool, through the amateur ranks to becoming a professional.
