Phoenix Pool Club 27/28/October 2012


The ladies grand final was held at the Phoenix pool club Eastwood Nottingham, where the owner Steve and the manager Jo Coe made the weekend one of the most enjoyable.

Shirley thanked Steve, Jo and the bar staff for all of the hard work that had been put into the weekend she also thanked Anne and Bob Taylor for sponsoring the ladies pool tour magazine this year, she then went onto thank, Paula Sagar, Jason Davis and John Paul Eames who was the referee for the weekend.

It was quite an emotional weekend for Sue Thompson as this was her final debut as she is retiring from pool due to ill health but she did what she does best and went out on a high by winning the grand final.

Lyndsey Roberts was on fine form up to meeting Sue in the final.

In the plate event Sharon Dickson went out to Sharon Wright.

It seemed a fitting end to the grand final to have the current world champion winning the tour event and the losing world champion winning the plate event.

Shirley went on to thank the English Pool association and most of all the players for supporting the ladies international pool tour and wished them all a safe journey home.
